I felt like the weird usually only came out during festivals and to be sure there were summers where it felt like there was a festival going on all the time, between LAAF, and Bele Chere, and Downtown after 5, and so many other things. I'm curious what period of time people considered Asheville to truly be weird. One of the people that claims to have started "Keep Asheville Weird" moved to Johnson City to make more money, so idk. But that is something reflected in Asheville liberal class as well. I don't think this subreddit is very conservative, unless you mean in the sense that it's become more anti-homeless people, which is probably true. They like to watch from their computer room windows. Redditors were never the ones keeping the city weird.
